Inert Gas/Vacuum Workstation*

Controlled loading for air-sensitive samples (Model 5xx)

The Simple Origin Inert Gas/Vacuum Workstation* (Model 5xx) is designed to load air-sensitive samples onto the cryogenic inert gas/vacuum transfer holder in a controlled environment. The controlled inert gas or high-vacuum environment helps preserve the sample integrity prior to imaging and analysis.

The workstation ensures a seamless transfer of air-sensitive samples directly from hermetically sealed grid boxes to the Simple Origin Inert Gas/Vacuum transfer holders without exposure to ambient conditions. This controlled workflow minimizes risk, improves repeatability, and supports high-confidence EM analysis.

Key features include

  • Hermetically sealed grid boxes that allow multiple TEM grids to be stored and transported while maintaining their required inert or vacuum environment.
  • Hermetically sealed chamber operating under inert gas or high vacuum conditions for the transfer of delicate samples from the sealed grid boxes to the Inert Gas/Vacuum transfer TEM holder.
  • Manipulators with multi-axis freedom of motion provide the necessary tools to ensure precise sample loading.

Together, these capabilities make the Simple Origin Model 5xx a streamlined, reliable solution for modern EM workflows, delivering glovebox-level protection in a more efficient, accessible, and user-centric design.
